About us
Brighton Forest School is led by Harry, a Level 3 Forest School Leader trained through Plumpton College onsite at Stanmer Park. Alongside his work delivering outdoor learning with The Outdoors Project, Harry brings summers of bushcraft, tree climbing and seasonal campfire recipes.

Supporting sessions is Brontë, a Level 2 Forest School Assistant in Training. With a background in primary education, wellbeing and outdoor learning, she tends towards making pinch pots with clay, natural dyes and mindful woodland walks.
Both practitioners hold enhanced DBS checks and Paediatric First Aid qualifications.

What Forest School Means to Us
Our guiding principle is simple:
Intention over output.
Every part of the day is designed with a clear developmental purpose, but we hold the outcome lightly.
We do not steer children toward a finished product, and we do not measure a day by what was made in it.
We notice how a child engages, not what they produce.
We let their curiosity, not our agenda, lead the way.

And sometimes you might find a child doing nothing much at all - watching a beetle cross a log, listening to leaves rustle in the canopy above. We treasure those moments. In a childhood that is increasingly busy, measured and indoors, the space simply to notice is one of the most developmental things we offer.
