Sales Terms and Cancellation Policy

These terms apply to all bookings for Brighton Forest School sessions. By submitting an enquiry form and confirming your booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Programme & Booking

Bookings are made for a full half-term block of sessions, reflecting the long-term, progressive nature of Forest School learning.

To book, parents and carers complete an enquiry form on the website. On receipt, we will send you an invoice and a registration form. Your place is provisionally held for 48 hours from the point of enquiry. It is confirmed once both payment and the completed registration form have been received.

2. Payment

Payment for the half-term block is made in full by bank transfer on receipt of invoice. Confirmation of your child's place will follow once payment has cleared.

3. Cancellation Before the Block Starts

If you need to cancel your booking before the block begins, the following terms apply:

•      More than 4 weeks before the start date: full refund.

•      Between 1 and 4 weeks before the start date: credit toward a future half-term.

•      Less than 1 week before the start date: we are unable to offer a refund or credit.

4. Missed Individual Sessions

Sessions are planned as part of a long-term programme and are designed to build progressively on prior experience. Because places are reserved for the whole block, and our staffing, ratios and planning are based on the group as a whole, we're not able to offer a refund or credit note for individual sessions your child is unable to attend, including due to illness.

We ask that parents give as much notice as possible to the Forest School Leader where a child will not attend.

We recognise this can feel disappointing in the moment, particularly around illness. If your child is facing an extended absence, for example a longer illness or a hospital stay, please get in touch. We can't promise a refund or credit in these cases, but we will always try to find a fair and sensible way forward with you.

5. Cancellation by Brighton Forest School

Sessions may be cancelled where safety cannot be reasonably maintained. Where Brighton Forest School cancels a session, we will always seek to reschedule it within the same half-term in the first instance. Where rescheduling is not possible, a credit for that session will be issued and will be valid for the following half-term only.

We will communicate any cancellation clearly and as promptly as possible.

6. Credit

Credit issued under sections 3 or 5 above is valid for the following half-term booking only and is non-transferable between families.

7. Lost Property

Brighton Forest School cannot accept responsibility for lost personal property brought to sessions.

8. Complaints

We take any concerns seriously and want to hear from you if something isn't right.

•      In the first instance, please contact the Forest School Leader.

•      If your concern relates to the Forest School Leader directly, or you'd prefer to speak to someone else, please contact:

Contact: Brontë Sandwell-Moore (co-founder)

Email: hello@brightonforestschool.co.uk

•      We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 3 working days, and to respond fully within 10 working days.

•      If your concern relates to a child's safety or wellbeing, please see our Safeguarding Policy, which sets out how these matters are handled.

9. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on the website. Continued booking after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
