We run a Saturday Forest School open to all young explorers aged 8-14

Our weekly sessions take place every Saturday from 10am-4pm at The Pond Garden in Stanmer Park, Brighton.

Full Day Forest School

Our Full Day Forest School is the recommended option to offer children the complete Forest School experience - a thoughtfully blended programme with opportunities to develop bushcraft skills, alongside creative enrichment.

This unhurried holistic approach is designed to develop the whole child and put their outdoor skills into practice in meaningful ways.

Saturday (10am-4pm)

Half Day Forest School

Saturday mornings or afternoons.

Morning Bushcraft (10am-1pm)

Afternoon Creative Projects (1pm-4pm)

Our Half Day Forest School provides the same nurturing and developmental approach in a shorter session, offering families greater flexibility around their schedule and a gentle beginning for children who are new to Forest School.

Families can choose between our Morning Bushcraft session or Afternoon Creative Projects.

Our Day

Morning Bushcraft (10am-1pm).

Our mornings begin with a walk around Stanmer Park to practice species identification and forage any materials we might need. Then we will begin working on core skills such as, whittling and woodworking, fire lighting, campfire cooking, den and natural shelter building.

Afternoon Creative Projects (1pm-4pm)

Our afternoon creative projects are intended to compliment skills taught in the morning through activities such as, natural dye making, clay, organic printing, nature drawing, writing prompts, seed bombs.

Each child is given a personal journal to write, draw or document their discoveries.

Each booking includes:

  • A healthy snack and drink

  • All materials, tools, and activities

  • Ongoing support from a qualified Forest School practitioner
